hazelnut
(Redirected from hazelnuts)
1. Also called cobnuts or filberts, these are the nuts of the hazel. They are roughly round shaped, about 10-15mm without the shell. The brown skin needs to be removed before using. They are roasted and used whole, chopped, or ground into pastes, in a variety of sweet and savory dishes.
